McDonald’s is giving away free hot drinks – but you need to sign up to its loyalty scheme

McDonald’s is offering a free hot drink today (Monday, November 7) for members of its loyalty scheme.

The fast food chain, which has 1,200 sites in the UK, is offering a free hot drink with a breakfast roll for fans signed up to the MyMcDonald’s Rewards app.

A breakfast roll typically costs around £3.29 although prices can vary between stores.

To get in on the deal, go to the “offers” section of your app after you’ve added a breakfast roll to your basket.

The offer has to be redeemed before Maccies stops serving breakfast at 11am.

McDonald’s recently added two new Christmas drinks to its menu, including the brand new Caramel Waffle Latte (£2.09) and an old favourite, the Hot Chocolate Deluxe (£1.49).

Both of these festive fancies are available now for a limited time.

The drinks are being launched alongside newly designed Christmas cups, featuring festive symbols like crackers, candy canes, holly and reindeer in red and green.

It comes after McDonald’s added a whole host of new items to its menu, including the McCrispy chicken burger which has proved a hit with fans so far.

The restaurant has also introduced new Mini Potato Waffles as part of their breakfast menu, as well as Twirl McFlurry.

Maccies also recently pleased fans by bringing back its Nacho Cheese Wedges for a limited time only, with many begging them to make the cheesy delights a permanent menu item.

In more fast food news, McDonald’s has just axed its popular coffee stamp scheme in favour of a new rewards system, using the MyMcDonald’s Rewards app.

Under the old scheme, customers would get a digital stamp when buying a hot beverage under the McCafe Loyalty scheme.

You would need to buy five drinks before getting a freebie. Now, you need to collect 1500 points via the app to collect your free treat.
